Definition:	The Protected Areas Representativeness Index measures how well protected areas represent the full range of environmental conditions and biological diversity within a country or territory. The metric relies on remote sensing, biodiversity informatics, and global modeling of fine-scaled variation in biodiversity composition for plant, vertebrate, and invertebrate species.(EPI-Variable PAR).
